FRP Centrifugal Fans

Aceon FRP fans are high-efficiency centrifugal fans engineered for demanding industrial environments where corrosive fumes, gases, vapours, and chemical mists are present. Designed for superior durability and long-term performance, these FRP centrifugal fans feature housings and impellers manufactured from solid Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) using specially formulated resins that provide maximum resistance to corrosion and chemical attack. The steel hubs are fully encapsulated for additional protection, while oversized shafts operate below critical speed on sealed pillow block bearings to ensure reliable and smooth operation.

Compared with conventional industrial fans, Aceon FRP fans operate at lower rotational speeds than competitive fans of similar construction. Lower operating speeds help minimise wear and tear on critical components such as impellers, bearings, belts, and drive systems. This results in reduced maintenance requirements, enhanced equipment lifespan, and lower operating costs. Direct Drive Centrifugal Fans (only for low medium pressure fans)

Performance Range

Wide range of fan series are available as below:

a. Low-Medium Pressure Centrifugal Fans
  Static pressure : Upto 2.25 kPa
Volume flowrate : Upto 3600 cmm

b. Medium-High Pressure Centrifugal Fans
  Static pressure : Upto 3.5 kPa
Volume flowrate : Upto 2100 cmm

c. High Pressure Centrifugal Fans
  Static pressure : Upto 5.0 kPa
Volume flowrate : Upto 900 cmm
Product Specification
a. Fan Housing
  Fan housing is constructed from FRP laminate to serve against weathering fumes and spillage. Fan housing can also be manufactured using fire-retardant resin according to ASTM E-84 specification. FRP housing is light and excellent against corrosion.

b. Shaft
  The shafts are Grade EN 9 carbon steel shafts, but other material like stainless steel
and titanium can be used.

c. Belts
  The belts used are standard heavy duty “V” type which able to withstand 1.4 - 1.6 times of safety factor.

d. Pulleys
  Pulley used are high grade cast iron type to withstand greater stresses imposed by higher powered “V” belts

e. Metal Parts
  All exposed metal parts are epoxy coated for protection against corrosive fumes, liquid and gases.

f. Fiberglass Impeller
  The fiberglass impeller is manufactured using corrosive resistant vinyl ester resin to withstand corrosive air stream. The resin rich surface will enhance the life span of the impeller against corrosion. The tough and strong fiberglass structural allow the impeller rotate from low to high speed.

g. Bearings
  The bearings used are heavy duty type, grease packed and scaled for protection against fume, moistures and dust. Long life span is ensured by proper maintenance.
